Alas, Spanish meaning: ‘wings’

It was thanks to a track of Luis Alberto Spinetta (L.A.S., RIP) called Durazno Sangrando that the Trio de Cajón met with Desmo's founder, Adriano. As the trio played the song, Adriano stood up and went to say hi to the band. Since then, a full double album was born. The album is therefore dedicated to the late Luis Alberto Spinetta: A L.A.S. : "TO L.A.S.".

A true international celebration of music and the arts bringing together musicians and producers from both new and older musical journeys to offer a fresh perspective on remixing traditional music, originally recorded by Adriano with the Trio de Cajon.

Throughout the remixes, producers took something so raw, sounding so organic, and show us how this can be transformed into something so complex, yet just as beautiful in its own style, maintaining the original elements and doing justice to the beauty of the original sound.

Tangos and milongas do not only provide a strong reference to the Rio De La Plata and its people, they are more, they are a reflection of intense and profound passion. It is hard to ignore the emotions poured into the breathtaking lyrics of some of the tracks.

A beautiful artistic element to this project was born when so many talented artists accepted to create a poster each inspired on one of the original tracks.
